Saint Patrick's Feast Day
Happy St. Patty's Day. While today marks the feast day of St. Patrick it also marks the three year dating anniversary of Leah and I. At first we decided to take a week vacation to Paris or Belize but instead decided to stick around Canton for a small celebration. This celebration included a fancy hot dog dinner, a trip to the dollar theater (saw Atonement, very good), and Guinness & Scrabble. Once again, Leah dominated in Scrabble but the Guinness helped it go down a lot smoother than normal.

wow 3 years, Crunch and Gina's is that day to theirs was 10 years. wtg Leah on Scrabble! Uncle Mark won Catan last night!
WTG Leah, at beating the brat in scrabble. :)
I used to rule at scrabble, and the more I played the better I got. And then no one would even play me any more. :( Then I played online with people, and I could hold my own, but there were people who played in competitions, and I got humbled... It's been so long now, I bet I stink. All that to say this. (But don't tell him I told you this. This will be a secret being just us 2.)
Let him win once in a while, or set him up so that he can lay XI or XU on a tripple letter, both up and down. Yeah, he'll get his 60 some points and cockadoodle doo afterwards...and then probably rub your face in it for a week. BUT If you always wear the scrabble crown in the family, by the time it's your 6th anniversary, you'll have to up the ante, and it will be 2 hotdays and guinnesses. :)
Isn't it wonderful having a mother-in-love who has such sound advice?
