The Itch

It happens right about now, if not before. There's an ache and a pull and a burst of excitement. I can hardly contain it, and I sometimes wish I could just be rid of it. It quiets itself for a moment, only to reach back into my mind and tangle it with memories. Pain, sweat, stumbling, victory, tears, heat, chills, cheering, sadness, accomplishment. I swore I'd never do it again.

Chicago Marathon 2008. Team World Vision. See you there?

Great post!

It's more than an itch. It's a pull, a magnet, a seduction...and once we've tasted it, even with all its challenges, we can't say no. I'll be there too.

Good luck getting ready for Chicago and for your support for TWV!

SWEET! Welcome to the world of "family" blogging. We Koerbers are looking forward to a glimpse into your lives.

I was just thinking about you two a couple of days ago as I stumbled upon your wedding gift that never made it into the car when we drove to Chicago last summer. So, knowing that there is no chance that I'll get it in the mail... you just might get a different treat that silly glass bowls. Send me an addy??? mattchrissie@yahoo.com

Love you guys.
